This 485 is built with refined elegance in mind. Jet black Ebony frames the dynamic Pomelle Sapele back and sides, allowing the features of the woods to have more emphasis. The rosette matches the back material to tie the colour palette of the guitar together.
The 9 piece laminate mahogany neck leads directly into the centre back strip providing a beautiful line for the eye to follow. Macassar ebony is used for the head veneer, fingerboard and bridge, with a little more colour than the ebony of the binding it provides complimentary tones between the rich mahoganies and dark ebony binding.
The cedar and mahogany work together to create a lovely rich, warm acoustic tone to the instrument, and delivers great results either fingerstyle or with a plectrum.
Finished in a satin lacquer, this instrument truly looks as good as it sounds.
